Available Services for Adults and Adolescents

  • Substance abuse groups for adults utilizing DBT, CBT and Relapse Prevention Therapies
    • Monday and Wednesday 10:15 am - 11:45 am
    • Tuesday and Thursday 5:30 pm - 7:00 pm
  • Chronic Pain / Substance abuse groups for adults
    • Mondays 4:00 pm – 5:30 pm
  • Substance abuse counseling for adolescents on-site or through our Life Skills Program at select schools – Boyne City High School, Boyne City Alternative, Harbor Springs High School, Inland Lakes High School
    • Assessments to determine needs
    • Frequency of participation will be based on individual needs
  • Men’s group for domestic violence intervention – HEAL (Helping Encourage Accountable Lifestyles)
    • Groups available on Wednesdays 5:30-7:00 pm and Sundays 12:00-1:30 pm at BASES
    • $25 per session and one-time $25 workbook fee, 39 sessions minimum to complete program
  • Substance abuse assessments for adolescents and adults
  • CBT/DBT groups for men (Monday’s) and for women (Wednesday’s) at Charlevoix County Jail
  • Outpatient individual counseling for adolescents and adults with or without substance abuse issues, including minimum to moderate mental health issues, trauma issues, post-traumatic stress disorders, marriage and family therapy with services provided by specially trained staff
  • Drug/PBT testing  
    • $20 charge per test for a 10-panel drug test (standard) – results back within 3-7 days
      • Checks for amphetamines, alcohol, marijuana, cocaine, opiates, barbiturates, benzodiazepines, oxycodone, buprenorphine, methadone, and others depending on the test; also gives creatinine levels to help check for possible dilution of specimen
    • Photo identification required, payment at time of testing, and referral contact information
    • PBT testing $2 (with breathalyzer tube), $3 (without breathalyzer tube)
  • Zero tolerance education classes for first-time MIP offenders
    • $75 charge for one 3-hour class
  • Alcohol highway safety education classes for first-time OWI/OUI offenders
    • $95 charge for one 3-hour class
  • Driver’s license appeal hearing substance abuse evaluation
    • $150 charge; includes drug test, driving record, evaluation, completed 10+ page forms

Client Notice of Confidentiality

The confidentiality of substance abuse client records maintained by this program is protected by Federal confidentiality rules (42 CFR Part 2). Your confidentiality is also protected under the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) (45 CFR Parts 160 & 164). Generally, the program may not say to a person outside the program that a patient attends the program, or disclose any information identifying a patient as an alcohol or drug abuse patient, unless:

(1) The patient consents in writing; OR (2) The disclosure is allowed by a court order; OR (3) The disclosure is made to medical personnel in a medical emergency or to qualified personnel for research, audit, or program evaluation; OR (4) The patient is a danger to themselves or someone else; OR (5) In the case of abuse to a child or an elderly person.

Violation of the federal law and regulations by a program is a crime. Suspected violations may be reported to the United States Attorney in the district where the violation occurs. Federal law and regulations do not protect any information about suspected child abuse or neglect from being reported under the state law to appropriate state or local authorities.
